Tarf… From Little Attempts to Confident Steps 💚
When Tarf first came to BioMove Center, she was just one year and five months old. She had Down syndrome, along with delayed motor development and muscle weakness. She also had difficulty rolling over, crawling, standing, and walking.
Her rehabilitation journey began with our physical therapist, Ashwaq Sharhan. The sessions focused on strengthening her muscles and improving body control, followed by gradual training in rolling over, crawling, and standing with the help of assistive devices.
As the sessions continued, Tarf began making progress in her daily skills. She learned to hold her toys and feed herself using her hands. Later, she started taking steps with the support of a walker.
Today, she is able to stand and walk independently, without assistance. 💚
Tarf did not reach this stage overnight. Behind every step were countless attempts, patience, and dedication from Tarf, her family, and her therapist.
A message to every mother and father: Never overlook delays in your child’s motor development. Early assessment and appropriate rehabilitation can help children develop new skills and make meaningful progress in their lives.
