Simple Exercises for Your Child Between Rehabilitation Sessions

Simple Exercises for Your Child Between Rehabilitation Sessions

Physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy sessions for children at Biomove are an essential part of the treatment plan, but the family’s role between sessions is just as important. Here are three simple tips to help you support your child at home.

1. Set aside a short daily routine
Instead of a long and tiring session, divide the exercises into short periods of 5–10 minutes throughout the day. This approach is more suitable for children and makes them more willing to participate without resistance.

2. Make the exercises a fun game
Use colorful balls, balance toys, and picture cards. Turn the exercises into small challenges—for example: “Who can touch the ball first?” Praise your child after every successful attempt, even if it’s small.

3. Follow the therapist’s recommendations
Every child is unique, so follow the exercises exactly as explained by the Biomove therapist. Avoid adding random exercises from the internet without consulting them, as this may overwhelm the child or affect the treatment plan.
